That rage Problem was a common starting problem, are you sure you have updated the game? Hey man, thank you for your reply. Actually I have it on steam.. I guess.. I also got myself a GTX and was actually looking forward to playing Rage again, which I never fully completed on my old system. This is kinda of funny because this was like 6 months ago and if I'm not mistaken, before the latest Rage patch.
I sat through more than a day trying different config-settings, different everything. I'm pretty much done it all when it comes to trying to get the game to run smoothly, but I failed.
I have a faster processor, faster and more diskspace, more ram, better graphicscard with more VRAM. The ingame "Transcode benchmark" shows excellent results whether using Cuda or not it's of the scale. How is this possible.
And furthermore, How can I get less texture pop-in if I'm forcing 16k textures on the first two texturelines. It should be worse when it's not. I am pretty sure that if the card had more VRAM I would probably be rid of the texture problem if I could use 16k textures on all four positions.
I've read a lot of ppl with troubles with the 2x gtx sli escalation but didnt find any solution jet : Please help! How did u solve your problems with ur 2 x gtx quadsli scalation problems? Rage has never liked my , to the point that its unplayable.
Tech5 has some issues and quirks, one of them being that the engine simply does not utilise SLI. Although s are very fast cards, they have a modest amount of VRAM 2gb. I guess you're just unlucky, or I am lucky. I dunno. Blame GFWL. B:AC runs on max, dx11, no tesselation without any problems.
I read that a lot of people didn't realize that their i5 cpus dont have hyperthreading, which crippled performance when turned on. Game ran fine for me most of the time.
DX11 on this game is broken. Two patches were released by Rocksteady to try and resolve the issue. Both patches failed. The second patch improved performance just a little, but still not enough. There is nothing wrong with your pc. Whoever said they can play this game buttery smooth on max I think not. Fluctuations between 30 and 50 fps is not buttery smooth.
There is no way you get that kind of performance on a single gtx with DX 11 and physX set to max. And if plsying at p, even less. With PhysX set to normal or off, DX11 off, and FX Anti Aliasing at p, you could average about 45 to 50 fps with physx off, and about 30 fps with physx on normal.
